My little dog has major allergies. For many years we only gave her a hypoallergenic kibble, twice a day. Then she started to react to that, too, so we had to find something else. That was hard as she is allergic to most proteins. For a while I had to deal with a raw diet (horse meat) but she grew tired and refused to eat it after a while. She was, by that time, on some pretty hefty medication as whatever she ate caused her reflux and made her stomach constantly tense (which added to back pain that we have treatment for with a rehab Vet, thanks to the loss of a back leg following abuse as a puppy, from which we rescued her). We knew se needed to find something better so I did a lot of research. She now has 4 small meals a day. 9am she has a little boiled chicken (dark meat only as she doesn't react as badly to that and it's the best we can give her with all her allergies - she won't eat fish and rabbit makes her unwell now - she can't eat any red meat at all.) Along with the chicken she has pumpkin puree (really good to ensure normal digestion and expulsion of waste - great for cats, too, if they seem constipated) cooked carrot (I cook it with the chicken drumsticks), a natural pet gravy and a mineral supplement. Meal 2 is at 1pm and it's literally 1/4 cup of kibble. Meal 3 is at 5pm and consists of a scattering of kibble and dried liver on a 'licky mat', which slows her down. The final meal comes at 8pm and is something she absolutely loves and which has worked miracles for her - 50ml goats milk with a splash of hot water. This helps settle her stomach so she doesn't get reflux. Not suffering stomach issues means she sleeps better and is a much happier and more relaxed dog. Best of all - she no longer needs Omeprazole or Metoclopromide tablets, both of which she had been on for over 5 years. It did take about 2 weeks to get the right amount of milk as a medicinal dose but now we have, we know she is going to enjoy her old age. I just wish we had discovered it sooner. (Lily, a smooth haired Fox Terrier, is 11 now) Any dog with digestive issues is better off being offered food every 3 or 4 hours rather than one big meal - and the addition of goats milk and pumpkin to the diet could prove beneficial!

Miss Amy, the rains that have been moving through are NOT Tropical Storms, they are tropical depressions, essentially a low in the atmosphere that brings loads of rain and flooding. A Tropical Storm brings in rains and flooding but also sustained winds of up to 74 mph. A Tropical Storm is a precursor to a Hurricane 1. We haven't had any of those yet, and let's hope we don't. There is a lot of backyard clean up that has to happen before a Tropical Storm hits the area since we have to treat Tropical Storms as we do Hurricanes because the strengthen quite fast to hurricanes. Praying we can skip all that drama this year and just have a nice quiet summer.

Tip: lightly wet the grater suction area with water then adhere to your counter. It will stay put that way.

We have beagles so we have to have dedicated meal times for them. You can not let a beagle free feed because they are extremely food motivated and will eat until the bowl is empty.

I hear you about the windows. Someone needs to come up with a tool that is bent in such a way that you can use your own cloths on the end and is bent in such a way that you are able to scrub upwards or sideways while standing on the inside and of course sturdy enough that you can apply pressure and extend at the same time. Stationary windows are quite a dilemma. I would love to have the downward collapsing windows to clean but alas affordability always takes centre stage.

We feed our fur baby. 4 times a day we split the amount she is to have daily. She gets a apple at noon. Lick pad with yogurt. Dog peanut butter, sweet potatoes

We do the same as you for our little friends it makes sense if a day or life gets busy they have food and water ...it works out just fine! I love the music you chose....tacos here of any kind are always a winner too but I never made the bowls like you did I'm gonna try that! Try spraying your windows with a diluted spray of water and a tbsp of ultra power plus. We even power washed our house with the ultra power plus. Used about 2 tbsp - 1/4 cup per power wash "load". You can use the diluted spray on your stainless steel over time too. Spray that spray and wipe with the wet envirocloth. Dry with window cloth. One of my friends did that for a couple to a few months before the layers all got off of her stainless steel.

Hiya! Wanted to share a little something I learned recently about pickles! Once you eat the pickles, save the brine! You can boil it on the stove for 2 mins and reuse it by just adding fresh cucumbers! It’s best if it sits in the brine for at least two days in the fridge but it has saved me money, for sure! I love pickles and everyone has a cucumber that is just sitting in the fridge and staring at you. It’s a great way to use them up!

Hi Amy. I just love your videos. My dogs always have food in their bowl. Every night they get a fresh bowl because I also make a topping for them. I use a lean burger because my shepherd is allergic to poultry with some wild rice with sweet potatoes green beans peas plus they get pumpkin because my shepherd has seizures so she is on medication and the pumpkin helps keep her regular. Now my nephew only feeds his dogs once a day so I guess it is whatever works for you.

We feed our dogs home-made dog food, so we feed twice a day. Home-made is so much better for them as long as you get the right mix of protein, carbs and veggies. They also like it much more than kibble.

I have a Jura s 10 coffee machine beans only better for u it has a filter for water it tells me when I need a new one best machine in the world Swiss made it brews cold and hot coffee I would never go back to pods ever

We make the taco bowls but put a layer of refried beans first, then the meat, cheese, and then lettuce and tomatoes. You can break off pieces of the shell and eat it

Hello Amy. When we raised German Shepherds, Feist, beagles, and mini beagles we fed them in the morning and evening. The cats we left food out for only the indoor ones. The outdoor cats got fed when they asked because they were outdoor murdering ones 😂. We rescued animals. We only have 4 cats and 1 horse left. The cats are outside in a huge playhouse. My husband insulated it and built ramps as well as screened in porch. They have food all the time. Maxine is such a cutie. Those salad bowls look so delicious. I was thinking maybe use large corn tortillas if they make them and put homemade chili in them and top with cheese. Do they even make the large corn ones? Thank you for the words of inspiration. My dog is on a diet if I left his food all day he would eat it all he has a few biscuits in morning and evening and wet food when we eat x

We feed our boy homemade food, three cups a day, breakfast, lunch dinner. When i first started making the food, we still had our older, overweight, sedentary lab. 1/2 cup 3x a day put a spring in his step, took about 15 pounds off him, and gave us more time with him. I eventually added a little extra food in once i was happy with his weight. We lost him at age 13 in February 2023.😢😢 We now have an 11 month old shepherd/lab mix, who's very active and requires more food.
